Hello everyone. My name is Nicky Batt and I have been a member of CAWC for two years. I was born in Amersham and moved around a bit, including a year in New Zealand, but settled back in the local area about five years ago.
Currently I am juggling two careers. I work for the family firm in the foot health industry as Joint Principal. I thoroughly enjoy this role but my passion is helping people through Colour Therapy. Colour Therapy is a tool that helps us see a mirror of ourselves from the inside out. We all have a physiological response to colour and often when words are not enough to express how we are feeling, colour fills in the gaps. It is a gentle tool to help us explore our thoughts and emotions.
I use Colour Therapy to help two groups of people. Midlife women who want to become more self-aware and expand their spiritual awareness and those dealing with loss. Loss can take many forms including bereavement, marital status, children leaving home, change in circumstance, etc. Clients who are typically interested in colour therapy want a deeper connection with self and soul to help them regain a sense of identity, to find solace and to feel upliftment and joy.
I joined the CAWC on the recommendation of a friend. I wanted to meet people outside of work and this seemed to be the best way to do it. I love the friendly atmosphere and the flexibility. As I work full time I cannot get to all the activities and events and that’s OK. The Club has such a welcoming atmosphere which is great for someone joining on their own.
