I am very honoured to have been elected this year, to work alongside Philippa to help organise the raffles and bring exciting vendors at our general meetings.
As an entrepreneur who loves promoting other businesses, particularly those run by women, it seemed natural for me to do this role as along with Nikki’s black book I also have a black book of incredible businesses I’ve been working with at numerous events.
My introduction to CAWC International was as a vendor last year at your Christmas lunch. It was the great fun you all had, the diversity of nationalities and the team spirit which drew me to the club. As an entrepreneur and mother of three teenage kids, my social interaction reduced significantly and I was becoming lonely, as I was no longer working or having school drop offs. All my friends from university and pre-kids work so this club enables me to connect with like minded individuals who want to have fun whilst raising funds for a good cause.
I love the variety of activities on offer and the chilled atmosphere the club has. I love all that it stands for, especially as the members embrace and emulate the motto of Fun, Friendship and Philanthropy.
I’ve only been a member for 6 months but have already enjoyed the May tea party and looking forward to the trip to Cliveden next week. I’ve met an incredible bunch of ladies and made some lovely friends. I look forward to playing an active part to add value to the club and bring vendors offering a variety of different cultural products for you to enjoy.
