Paul Wayne Gregory ChocolatierWe were delighted to welcome multi-award winning master chocolatier Paul Wayne Gregory to our February General Meeting. Unsurprisingly, given the topic of the art of indulgence and the promise of chocolate tasting, we had a very full room of members and visitors!

As Paul’s website (paulwaynegregory.com) says, he has one main desire… to show the world that “indulgence is everything”.

He has a top-notch chef and patisserie background including spells with French master pâtissier Jean Valentin and Spain’s Oriol Balaguer, himself a graduate of Ferran Adrià’s El Bulli restaurant. Paul realised he had a natural flair for chocolates having mastered tempering in three hours and has since carved out a niche for himself amongst his peers as a chocolatier who is passionate about creating the most intense flavours for his fillings.

His two Art Range boxes each contain four flavours (twelve chocolates in total in each box) and brings together chocolates only previously available at Michelin starred restaurants and 5 star hotels.

Each of the eight flavours in his Art Collection ranges one and two have won awards individually as testament to Paul’s devotion to creating single flavour filled bonbons which you can identify without hesitation.

Nelson Mandela Chocolate“It’s all about marrying the right blend of chocolates with the finest ingredients so that you can taste both and savour the pairing” explains Paul. Our members and visitors completely agreed as they loved tasting the various combinations from salted caramel to raspberry to passion fruit.

Paul says, “Not only do our chocolates taste incredible, but they also showcase our innovative style and attention to detail. Each piece is adorned with intricate decorations, transforming them into edible works of art. We believe that chocolates should be a feast for both the eyes and the palate.”

Paul views himself as a chocolate artist and his passion to create works of art spills over from his bonbons into his sculptures including celebrating Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday with a chocolate painting, a chocolate dress, and chocolate busts of celebrities.
