A brief roundup of what we have been up to over the school holidays, we will be finishing this off next Thursday with a trip to Bournemouth for a fun day at the seaside.



Picnic Activity
Young carers brought their own picnic and enjoyed a range of outdoor activities, from team games. The session provided a platform for young carers to talk, play and build new friendships.
Sailing
The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough organised a day of sailing for young carers at Bury Lake, Rickmansworth. The event featured two sailing sessions, offering young carers a chance to navigate the waters under the guidance of trained staff. A lunch was provided, allowing everyone to recharge between activities.
Snowbility at Hemel Hempstead
Young Carers recently took part in an introductory skiing session hosted by Snowbility. The session covered essential skills, including putting on skis, practicing straight running, and mastering techniques like the snowplough and turning. The session was led their instructors, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for fun and skill-building on the slopes, and everyone left with new skills.
Lazer Tag Activity
Young Carers recently had an exciting day of laser tag fun. They explored diverse maps, maneuverer around obstacles and trenches, and competed in games with their friends. The great news was that there were no paintballs, just lasers, so no need for goggles or body armour.
Climbing wall
Young Carers recently took on the auto-belay adventure walls at Wycombe Leisure Centre. They embraced the action-packed, adrenaline-fueled challenge, testing their agility, confidence, balance, and problem-solving skills.
Folly Foot
Young Carers had a fantastic time at Folly Foot, where they met and groomed horses, learning essential handling skills. The day also featured various stations dedicated to animal care and craft activities.
Marlow Fun Day
Young Carers and their families recently enjoyed a fantastic day at the Marlow Fun Day held at Foxes Piece School. Activities featured a variety of activities including an Inflatable Assault Course, Horse Race Game, Plate Smashing, Giant Bubbles, and crafts. Attendees also savoured delicious food options like BBQ, cakes, and drinks.
Restore hope
Young carers gathered at Restore Hope in Chesham for a day filled with fun and discovery. The event featured four exciting activities: an Animal Encounter, where participants met adorable animals; River Dipping, which involved exploring aquatic creatures; Den Building, where teams crafted woodland shelters; and a thrilling Slackline Challenge to test balance and coordination.
The day offered a perfect blend of learning new skills, adventure, and outdoor fun, leaving everyone with lasting memories.
North Bucks Family Fun Day
Young carers and their families had a good time at the jungle-themed Family Fun Day in Bierton. The day was packed with jungle-inspired fun activities, featuring bouncy castles, arts and crafts, and even real-life animal encounters with alpacas and snakes provided by the team from Animal Antiks.
Glass Decorating and Mocktail Making
Young carers gathered at the local community centre where they decorated mason jars with paints and ribbons, crafted mocktails from fresh juices and fruits, and enjoyed delicious pizza.
