As a first time visitor to the bazaar I was excited to see what was going on!
My name is Sian, I don’t live in the Chiltern’s area so I’m not a member of CAWC and I’ve known about the annual bazaar for a few years but haven’t had the opportunity to visit. This year was different so off I set with a beautiful blue sky and warming rays of sunshine overhead.
The bazaar is held at the Crowne Plaza, Gerrards Cross. It’s easy to find and there’s plenty of parking though it does fill fast as the bazaar is a very popular event.
As I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the CAWC volunteers and could see immediately that the venue was busy and buzzing. The atmosphere was festive and relaxed, the vendors were super friendly and happy to chat about their products.
Though I had seen the list of vendor’s on the website, it was amazing to see such a huge range of businesses and products, there was something for everyone. I really enjoyed browsing and couldn’t resist a few purchases!
I indulged in a hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course!) to keep my energy up and chatted with people who had sampled their food offerings with all saying the food was very tasty! Then I headed off to check out the gift baskets that had been lovingly created by the CAWC ladies. There were many to choose from so it took a while to decide but I managed to finally whittle my choice down to two and swiftly made my purchases before I got seduced by more!
The event has both a raffle and silent auction and I couldn’t resist buying tickets for the raffle and bidding on a few items in the auction. To my amazement I won! I had bid on a beautiful Radley London bag and came away the thrilled winner of the lot!
You can see how much work goes into this bazaar and as a visitor it’s heart warming to see the amazing support of all the volunteers and sponsors to make this an annual event not to miss.
All I can say now is thank you CAWC for all your hard work and I’ll see you next year!
